A popular Raymond youth hangout has announced it will close. Do you think local teens have enough to do?
Gerard Lavigne, 37, Windham
“Based on what’s in the area, I don’t think there really is…it’s hard to say. But from what I’ve seen from teens lately, there really isn’t a whole lot going for them.”
Debbie Boothby, 53, Raymond
“I don’t think teens do have enough to do. I believe kids need a safe hangout place. How you make that safe forum, I don’t know.”
Gordon Locke, 71, Windham
“I think they do [have enough to do] if they want to assert themselves and get into it. I think there’s plenty for them to do.”
Christine Bissonnette, 37, Windham
“No, I do not. Think they need a boys and girls club. My boys like to play basketball and there’s nowhere to bring them. There’s too much time on teenagers’ hands up here.”
Jessica Jensen, 27, Windham
“I grew up in Windham. There isn’t anything to do here. Kids get bored, that’s why kids do get in trouble. We had the pool hall, but you can’t get in there anymore unless you’re 18.”
Helen Robinson, Windham
“I don’t feel there’s enough to do for teens in the area. My kids, now 21 and 24, would just call their friends up and go to the movies and hang out at each other’s houses.”
