On Sunday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m., the Friends of the Scarborough Public Library will host a special program, entitled “Broadturn Farm: More than a CSA.”
The event is free and open to the public and will be held in the library’s meeting room. During the past eight years, Stacy Brenner and John Bliss have been dedicated stewards of the Broadturn Farm, which is protected by a conservation easement held by the Scarborough Land Trust.
Hear the story of how Brenner and Bliss developed the site back into a full working farm that includes community supported agriculture, or CSA, memberships, farming education programs, summer camp experiences for youth and more.
See www.scarboroughlibraryfriends.org for more information about this program, which is part of the friends’ Farm to Table series.
