Lakes Region girls are invited to find out about Girl Scout activities taking place in their communities, as learn about information on fall troops and register for Girl Scouts on one of the following dates:

• Windham – Monday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Windham Primary School Cafeteria

• Hollis – Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Hollis Elementary School Cafeteria

• Standish/Steep Falls – Thursday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at the George E. Jack School Cafeteria

The registration fee to become a member of Girl Scouts is $10, payable by check, and financial assistance is available for this fee.

Girl Scouts of Maine serves more than 14,000 girls ages 5 to 17 statewide. Girl Scouts of Maine also has many volunteer options for adults, whether they can commit to volunteering once a year or more often. Volunteer troop leaders are especially needed.
