WINDHAM – Attorneys for Donato Corsetti, the Windham man accused of setting fire to an apartment building in December, met with the Cumberland County District Attorney’s office Thursday, May 9, for a dispositional conference.

According to Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Ackerman, no plea deals or court dates were set at the meeting, and with more evidence being compiled, lawyers agreed to a second dispositional conference in late June, she said.

The routine pre-trial meetings between prosecutors, a judge, and defendants are held to reach out-of-court arrangements and to allow defendants to learn of evidence collected. In Corsetti’s case, Ackerman said investigators are still in the process of collecting and compiling evidence, necessitating a second dispositional conference.

Ackerman said if no plea deal is reached as a result of the pre-trial hearings, a trial could occur sometime in August.
