To Washington (PHOTO)

Alan O’Brien traveled to Washington D.C. for a week in July. He was one of two selected in Cumberland County to represent the 4-H in the dairy cattle program. They along with several other Maine youths went with the CWF of the 4-H.

Meeting

The Smith Cemetery Association met August 11 in the Windham Public Library. They elected new officers and they are as follows: President, Charlie Brown; Vice President, George Hall; Secretary, Josie Morrell; Treasurer, June Hawkes. The board of trustees includes: Cathy Bishop, Elsie Haskell, Florence Hawkes, Marilyn Worrey and Carlene Brown. Their project for the year is to clean and repair stones needing it.

Anniversary

Kevin and Melissa Bailey celebrated their fourth anniversary yesterday, August 25. They were on vacation and celebrated with their daughter, Cassidy.

To Foxwoods

Mary Bouchard, Sheila Cunningham and Richard Rolfe went to Foxwoods August 24 and 25. This was just a quick getaway for the three of them.

Birthday

June Hawkes celebrated her birthday August 24. She spent time with her family and had a great day.

Home

Liz and Clarence Wisecup with their grandson, Jacob, returned home today after spending a week in Coronado, California. They went to visit their son, Mike Wisecup, and his wife, Emily. Mike returned from Iraq in April and was transferred from Virginia to California.

Visits

Jo Cook and her husband, Nick, arrived yesterday, August 25, from Marathon, Florida. They will visit with her parents and other family members for a few days before returning home.

To Florida

Glenn Cote and his son, Josh, left for Florida August 14 and returned home August 21. They went to Orlando to visit Disney World. Glenn’s other son was here from Florida having knee surgery.
