Deering (4-0) @ Gorham (4-0)

The battle of the Rams: An SMAA heavyweight matchup as two of the three remaining unbeatens square off.

Deering, led by its defense and running back Brian Sandora, has been as dominant as any team in the state, but against Portland two weeks ago, four fumbles almost cost them. They won’t be able to afford such mistakes against Gorham.

Gorham had a sub-par showing against Windham last week. Anything similar against Deering and Gorham will be wishing it was back in Class B.

Gorham kicker Anders Nielsen could be the difference.

Westbrook (1-3) @ Bonny Eagle (4-0)

When Westbrook travels to Buxton to play the defending Class A state champions, a win could turn around what has been a difficult season.

Unfortunately for the Blue Blazes, Bonny Eagle is too deep and too talented for Westbrook to pull an upset.

Prediction: Bonny Eagle 42, Westbrook 6
