Veterans
Robin Shepard, the state of Maine Veterans Advocate, will be at the Windham Veterans Center on Jan. 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. He will assist veterans in applying for benefts. There is no charge and no appointment is necessary.
Meeting
The Rebekahs will meet Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Odd Fellows Hall. This is the official visitation of the President of the State of Maine Assembly of Rebekahs. There will be refreshments and all will wear white gowns.
Family Gathering
Ray and Margaret Cote entertained all their children and grandchildren on Christmas Eve. They enjoyed dinner and exchanged gifts.
Home
Susan Hiltunen is back home after a recent trip to Augusta, Georgia. Susan traveled down wth her mother, who will spend the winter with Susan’s sister there. Susan had a chance to visit with her sister for about a week.
Family Christmas
Bill and Sue Hager had family over for Christmas dinner and to exchange gifts. Those attending were: Betty Barto and Rollin Barto of Windham, Dexter Hager of New York, and Julie and Steve Morse with daughters, Acadia and Amelia of Bath. Roger and Pearl Barto and son, Jacob, of Winter Harbor were there the day before Christmas.
Visit
Michael and Emily Wisecup of Coronado, California, where he is stationed with the military, visited with his parents, Clarence and Liz Wisecup for a few day before Christmas. They then went to England for two weeks and spent Christmas with her parents. Before they went home, they returned to visit his parents for another week and had a belated Christmas with them and other family members.
Christmas
Costella Bryant had all her children and grandchildren at her home for Christmas. They enjoyed a big Christmas dinner and the gift swapping.
