Gorham police said a worker was hospitalized with serious injuries sustained in a work-related cell tower incident at about 3:15 p.m. on July 7 at 11 Kimball Way in Gorham.

A report by Officer Dean Hannon and Sgt. Michael Nault said employees from Centerline Communications of Raynham, Mass., were removing cables and a section mount when the worker was injured. Gorham Rescue transported the worker to Maine Medical Center in Portland, the report said.

Police did not release the name of the worker pending family notification. The Maine Department of Labor will investigate the incident, according to police.
