Outlook: The Lady Scots field a solid team this year; the distance events, in which Cox will lead them, should be their particular strength. Weyand, one of the fastest girls in Maine, heads up the sprinters; she will loom large in the 100, 200, and 400. Strout also nods to his freshman, noting that, if they continue to develop, the team as a whole should perform well in the big meets.
Sam Campobasso and the Bonny Eagle girls lacrosse team has its sights on the playoffs.
Allison Pike will return to the mound for the Bonny Eagle softball team, which brings back eight of nine starters from last year’s squad.
Sophomore Devin Butler and the Scots baseball team look to improve on a 6-10 finish a year ago.
