The Bridgton Historical Society has openings for exhibitors at its 17th annual Woodworker and Artisans Show, to be held July 7-8 at Narramissic, the society’s historic farmstead in South Bridgton.

The annual show has broadened its original focus, which was on woodworkers and cabinetmakers, but retains its emphasis on providing a relaxed atmosphere for visitors to have fun while learning about traditional crafts and early American farm life, tour the house, and purchase some of the exhibitors’ wares.

In the past the show has included fine woodworkers and cabinetmakers, wheelwrights, coopers, stone carvers, broom makers, basket makers, spinners and weavers, whittlers, musical instrument makers and others. The historical society is particularly interested in attracting artisans who want to use its restored blacksmith forge.
