PORTLAND – The Portland Expo wasn’t kind to the South Portland basketball team Friday night as the No. 4 Red Riots were eliminated from the Class A West basketball playoffs by No. 5 Portland.

South Portland never got on track in the second half as Portland kept the offensive pressure up, pulling away to a 69-45 win. The Bulldogs will face the winner of the No. 1 Cheverus vs. No. 8 Marshwood in the Western semifinals next week.
