The Gray-New Gloucester girls soccer team got its first win of the season on Tuesday, topping Sacopee Valley on the road 2-1.

The Patriots got on the board at 32:26 of the first half, with Kelsey Redmond getting the game’s first goal on an assist from Alicia Valente. The lead didn’t last long, as Sacopee Valley netted the equalizer at the 38:29 mark on a Maeve Downey goal.

The Patriots got the game-winning goal with 17 minutes left in the game when Kassie Wilson scored with an assist from Leanne Porcaro.

Taylor Damon had 12 saves in net for the Patriots in the game. The Patriots are now 1-1-1 on the season.
