No charges will be filed against the man who police said jumped in front of female motorists in Standish and Buxton while clad in women’s underwear.
A statement released Wednesday by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said they were able to locate and speak with the man after receiving tips from the public.
The man told police he has been cross dressing as part of a sexual game with another adult he was involved with. Police said the man’s name will not be released because the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue criminal charges.
Six different women had reported the man’s bizarre behavior since last spring and police said several more came forward after a press release was released Feb. 7.
“The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the citizen’s who took the time to come forward in this matter and assist in the solving of what can best be described as an ‘unusual event,'” the statement concluded.
