SOUTH PORTLAND – The Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department in South Portland is collaborating with SailMaine to host the SailMaine Junior Olympic Regatta at Bug Light Park on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15 and 16. Call 767?7650 for more information.

The public is invited to watch some spectacular sailing races at beautiful Bug Light Park. In addition, there will be family-oriented events, food trucks and activities going on throughout the festival.

On Tuesday, the sailors will take off around 10:30 a.m. and return at approximately 4 p.m. There will be kayak rentals available and a free yoga class with The Breathing Room Yoga Studio at 2 p.m. The Rotary Club of South Portland?Cape Elizabeth will also offer free lighthouse tours from 3?7 p.m. In addition, there will be various activities for kids. Most activities are free. Sailing will continue on Wednesday, also starting at 10:30 a.m.
