Through April 29: The United Methodist Church of Good Fellowship, 1000 Roosevelt Trail, Route 302, Naples, will be serving free breakfast and fellowship every Wednesday from 7:30-10 a.m. The breakfast will be canceled with SAD 61 schools for inclement weather.

Monday, Feb. 9: The Lake Region Community Chorus will begin its Spring Session on Monday, Feb. 9. Their first rehearsal scheduled for Feb. 2 was cancelled due to snow. Registration for old and new members will start at 6 p.m. in the Twitchell Chapel of the Bridgton Academy in North Bridgton. The rehearsal will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. There is a $25 membership fee which helps cover the cost of the music. Jan Jukkola, Nancy Capone, Susan Stockwell and John Waldie will be conducting the chorus and Carolyn Stanhope will be accompanying. The chorus needs sopranos, altos, tenors and basses so please consider joining this enthusiastic group if you like to sing and have fun! Wednesday, Feb. 11: Do you remember neighboring? What are your fondest memories? At the monthly W.A.Y. (We And You) Gathering at the United Methodist Church in Naples, members can connect with each other. Through the journey of your own life you have something of value to share with others. Come and connect with others through listening, caring, support, understanding and sharing. Share your precious experiences and stories. Thursday, Feb. 12: A Midwinter Beach Party takes place 6-9 p.m., at the Depot St. Taphouse, 18 Depot St., Bridgton. A fundraiser for the Denmark Arts Center, the event features a ukulele-singalong, limbo and Hawaiian shirt contests (free pin?a coladas for the winners), and a classic Hawaiian snacks (including spam sushi, of course!). A suggested donation of $10 will benefit the art center’s Capital Campaign, towards the purchase of a new residence building in Denmark.

Saturday, Feb. 14: Maine author Blaize Nolynne is holding a discussion of her book, “The Captain’s Last Year, One Life to Live: Battling the Flame and Cancer,” from 1-1:30 at Soldiers Memorial Library, 85 Main St., Hiram. There will be books available and a giveaway of an autographed book as well as music by Katherine Rhoda and refreshments. The event benefits West Baldwin Fire Chief Jeff Douglass with medical expenses from terminal cancer.

Feb. 14: Cabin Fever Book and Bake Sale at the New Gloucester Library, 379 Intervale Road, from 8 a.m.-noon (snow date Feb. 21 from 8 a.m.-noon). In addition to a large assortment of adult books, children’s books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, games, there are vintage books including vintage Maine books and an awesome assortment of “Guy Fict” for stocking up the man cave this winter. Feb. 14-15: The Sebago Lake Region Ice Fishing Derby will be held on Feb. 14 and 15, which is Maine’s Free Fishing Weekend, with registration and weigh stations opening at 7 a.m. each morning until 5 p.m. The Children’s Cancer Program Polar Dip will also take place on Saturday at noon. Also on Saturday there will be helicopter rides, activities for children including a sliding hill. The prize pool is comprised of the $100,000 prize for beating the state’s largest recorded togue out of Sebago Lake, and every entry is also entered for the 2015 Polaris Sportsman ATV, an ice fishing package valued at $1,500 from Cabela’s for the winning togue of the derby that weekend, plus many other prizes from the $15,000-$18,000 prize pool. Tuesday, Feb. 24: The Board of Directors of Schoolhouse Arts Center will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. at Standish Town Hall (175 Northeast Road, Standish).
