Casco Public Library’s annual coffee and author event will be held Wednesday, July 11, at the Pleasant Lake Bed and Breakfast in Casco village.

The tour of the Inn begins at 9:30 a.m. and the author will have a presentation at 10:15 a.m. Afterward, she will autograph her books, which will be available for purchase. There will be parking assistance for anyone who needs it.
The Casco Library Coffee originally began as a formal afternoon tea in 1954, but in 1980 it was changed into a more informal morning coffee. Over the years many fascinating authors and illustrators have described their creative endeavors and audiences have had an opportunity to ask questions. Casco Library’s Board of Trustees recognizes the long tradition of this event and values its contribution to the community’s cultural life.
The Pleasant Lake Bed and Breakfast is one of the oldest houses in Casco and was recently acquired by Ellen and Jim Macklin. Information about the inn and its history can be accessed at their Web site, www.pleasantlakehouse.com.
Please call the library at 627-4541 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with any questions.
