Lakes Region Senior Center busy in April

The Lakes Region Senior Center is located at Sunset Ridge Golf Links, River Road near the Windham-Westbrook line. All seniors in the Lakes Region towns are welcome.

Events for April include: Monday, April 14, at 10 a.m., Sherrie Benner, a seniors’ real estate specialist will address reverse mortgages, senior housing options and community service organizations. Free and open to the public. Refreshments available.

On Monday, April 21, at 11 a.m., three speakers will present information: Helen Harvie of In-Home Senior Services will speak on Bucket Lists, Vickie Lane from Photo Doctor will discuss how to keep memories alive through photographs and Donna Duffy, an independent legal associate at Legal Shields will speak on inexpensive access to lawyers. This presentation is free and open to the public. A light lunch will be provided by the speakers and, to have ample food please call Marge at 892-4955 by April 16 with the head count in your group.

LRSC is a drop-in center open Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop in to socialize, play a table game, craft or join the puzzle table. On Tuesday, play poker at 9:30 a.m. The weight support group meets the second and fourth Wednesdays and Bingo is at 10 a.m. on Fridays. Wintertime Pickleball is available at Shaw›s gym, 9 a.m.-noon every morning except Wednesday, and it is free.
