‘Pretty Girls’ in park concert
The free Wednesday evening concert series in Riverbank Park on Main Street continues on July 9 from 6-8 with the group Pretty Girls Sing Soprano.
A family barbecue will be held from 5-7 p.m. to benefit American Legion Post 62.
Kids’ colonial dress-up day at Tate House
The Tate House Museum in Stroudwater invites children and their parents to a morning of colonial dress up from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, July 12. The program is part of the museum’s Family Fun Days.
Boys and girls can try on period clothing and learn about life in the 18th century. Each participating child will receive a hat to take home – a tri-corner hat for boys and a ribboned mobcap for girls.
The Tate House, built in 1755, is at 1267 Westbrook St., Portland. Admission is $5 per person up to a total of $20 per family. For reservations, call 774-6177.
