More than 50 seventh-graders from Windham Middle School recently spent the day in Augusta meeting with their elected officials. State Rep. Gary Plummer and State Sen. Bill Diamond, both of Windham, spent the morning with students giving them a tour of the State House and talking with them about Maine’s legislative process. The students had the opportunity to meet Governor John Baldacci. They also visited the Maine State Museum where they were able to participate in the Water & Steam Power, Lobster Claws, and Granite Quarry museum gallery programs. Here, Plummer (R-Windham) talks with students in the House of Representatives chamber. Courtesy photo
