Westbrook police are searching for a 23-year-old woman whose grandmother reported her missing since New Year’s Eve.

Heather Louise Eldred was last seen wearing a long skirt and Ugg boots and had her long hair in a ponytail. She has brown hair and brown eyes, is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 105 pounds.

According to police, Eldred may be in the company of strangers she met at Denny’s in Portland and has told people that she may be headed to California with some “new friends.”

Eldred had been diagnosed with a cognitive disability. She is legally blind, and her family and police are concerned for her well being.

Police ask that anyone who has information regarding her whereabouts contact the Westbrook police at 854-0644, ext. 1.
