The Westbrook office of Acadia Insurance is launching “Fund a Kid,” a charitable campaign to support Mission Possible Teen Center.

“Acadia’s charitable activities align with our giving strategy, which focuses on strengthening our local communities in the areas of well-being, education and the arts. Therefore, it’s only fitting to launch this effort for our neighbors at Mission Possible,” Douglas M. Nelson, president of Acadia Insurance, said in a statement. “Mission Possible has been the focal point of Westbrook’s teen activities since 1998, and Acadia is proud to assist this meaningful organization and help support the center’s long-term sustainability.”

Nelson added that Acadia’s goal is to raise $4,200 for the “Fund a Kid” campaign, which is enough to support at least seven children for the year. To help reach this goal, Acadia will be hosting a series of events and fundraisers each month to help gain support.

“Our center depends on the financial support and contribution of many local businesses, like Acadia, and we are grateful for this community partnership,” said Donna Dwyer, Mission Possible Teen Center executive director.
