Moving rocks
On Sept. 1, at about 2:30 p.m., a police officer met with a resident of the Mountain View Park area regarding a complaint that damage was done to the resident’s rock wall by a truck resembling a moving van. The contractor working next door to the resident observed the incident but was not at the site when the officer arrived. The case is open pending additional information.
Stolen braces
On Sept. 5, at about 11 a.m., a police officer met with a contractor in the Old Ocean House area regarding the theft of 16 adjustable wall braces valued at $50 each and a halogen light valued at $60, taken from a work site.
Quarantine needed
On Sept. 9, at about 10:10 a.m., a police officer met with a resident of the Scott Dyer Road area regarding a woodchuck believed to have been killed by a pet dog. A quarantine notice was issued for the dog and the woodchuck was sent to a lab for rabies testing.
Vehicle burglary
On Sept. 8, at about 7:50 p.m., a resident of the Mitchell Road area complained of a motor vehicle burglary. The resident had left his wallet in the car and $80 was missing from it.
Bicyclists beware
On Sept. 9, at about 12:54 p.m., a resident of Auburn complained that while riding a bicycle on Route 77, a vehicle came up slowly and the vehicle’s passenger extended his hand and slapped the bicyclist on the buttocks. The bicyclist obtained a plate number, and an officer made contact with the vehicle owner. Two juveniles were responsible and have admitted to the action.
Summonses
Aug. 5
Andrew Drummond, 25, of San Diego, Calif., was issued a summons on Route 77 for speeding 55 mph in a 45 mph zone.
Aug. 6
Stacy Calderwood, 52, of 55 Wood Road, was issued a summons on Route 77 for an unregistered motor vehicle.
Joshua Harriman, 25, of 8 Sherman St., Portland, was issued a summons on Route 77 for an uninspected motor vehicle and operating after suspension.
Aug. 7
Nathaniel Alexander, 23, of South Freeport, was issued a summons on Sawyer Road for possession of marijuana.
Benjamin Franck, 30, of 56 Leland St., Portland, was issued a summons on Sawyer Road for operating after suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Michael Scott, 20, of 7 Tower Drive, was issued a summons on Mitchell Road for operating under the influence, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Aug. 8
Rachael Sanborn, 28, of 7 Ridge Road, Raymond, was issued a summons at Delano Park for criminal trespass and harassment by phone.
Avery Acres of Naples, was issued a summons on Mitchell Road for an uninspected motor vehicle.
Adam Chambers, 23, of Park Avenue, Portland, was issued a summons on Ocean View Road for violation of conditional release.
Arrests
Joshua E. Harriman, 25, of 8 Sherman St., Portland, was arrested on Route 77 for operating a motor vehicle after suspension.
Michael R. Scott, 20, of 7 Tower Drive, Cape Elizabeth, was arrested on Mitchell Road for operating under the influence and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
Rachael L. Sanborn, 18, of 7 Ridge Road, Raymond, was arrested at Delano Park for criminal trespass and harassment by phone.
Adam Jay Chambers, 23, of Park Avenue, Portland, was arrested on Ocean View Avenue for violation of conditions of release.
Fire and Rescue
The Cape Rescue squad responded to 12 calls between Sept. 6 and Sept. 11. Five patients were transported to Mercy Hospital and seven were transported to Maine Medical Center.
The Cape Elizabeth Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Ocean House Road at 11:14 p.m. on Sept. 7, a call for assistance on Hunt’s Point Road at 10:32 a.m. on Sept. 8, a search at Kettle Cove at 3:58 p.m. on Sept. 9, a downed power line on Old Ocean House Road at 10:24 p.m. on Sept. 9.
