Three Standish residents indicted for armed robbery of a hair salon in Standish pleaded not guilty in Cumberland County Superior Court in Portland Tuesday.
Bail was set at $1,000 for Georgette Griffin, 35, $100,000 cash or $250,000 property for Charles Adams, 41, and $50,000 cash or $100,000 property for Scott Nason, 29. The three remained at Cumberland County Jail as of Wednesday.
Each face charges of violating conditions of release and Class A armed robbery for an incident at New Hope Hairstyling at 140 Ossipee Trail East June 26.
Adams is accused of entering the salon with a gun and demanding money at around 1:30 p.m. According to a report by Detective Brian Ackerman of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, salon staff struggled with him and he fired a shot into a cash register.
Adams was eventually repelled with a bottle of perm solution and left without any money. He crossed Ossipee Trail East and fled in a car, which had been waiting for him.
Adams and Nason were arrested the next day and Grffin was arrested July 1. The three were indicted Aug. 8.
