A blanket of snow covers Route 302 in Windham and the area known 100 years ago as Morrell’s Corner (named for a grocery store). In this view, looking north, you can see the Pleasant River Grange building on the left, and the low building on the right is the blacksmith shop of Lott Morrell. Today this area is called the Rotary and the Grange building is a business office. Lott Morrell is remembered by the name given to a road off Route 302, Lott’s Drive. Real old-timers still call the area Morrell’s Corner; newer folks remember when it was Foster’s Corner. Most people call it the Rotary. Photo from the archives of Windham Historical Society
