Buxton

Carroll Park consists of 4.8 acres situated between Flaggy Meadow Road and Hurlin Smith Road. The park contains a baseball diamond with bleacher seating, a playground, a picnic area, a basketball court and a walking path around the park’s perimeter.

Estes Park consists of five acres located on Chicopee Road that support a softball diamond with bleacher seating, dugouts and picnic tables.

Pleasant Point Park is located on Simpson Road on a point of land along the Saco River. The park includes wooded walking paths and access to the Saco River for canoeing, kayaking and swimming.

Town Farm Park, which can be accessed from Town Farm Road, has ten acres that include walking and jogging paths as well as baseball, softball and multi-purpose fields.

Weymouth Park, located at the intersection of routes 202 and 112, has seven acres of open land that is home to a Babe Ruth baseball field, a Little League baseball field with bleachers, tennis courts and a basketball court.

Gorham

Little Falls Recreation Area off Gray Road has playing fields and tennis courts.

Robie Park is located between Morrill Avenue and Ball Park Road behind the Recreation Department office.

Robie Gym, located at 42 South Street, is available for community events and birthday parties.

Shaw Park, opened in the summer of 2006, has miles of Maine Mountain Division Trails for walking, horse back riding and mountain biking. Shaw Park also has access to the Presumpscot River for boating and fishing, a baseball diamond for pick-up games, a basketball hoop and picnic tables.

Westbrook

Riverbank Park, bordered by Main Street and the Presumpscot River, has open space as well as a river path for walking, playgrounds and a gazebo for events.

Bicentennial Park, located off William Clarke Drive next to Hannaford, has open space, multi-purpose fields and a bicycle and skateboard ramp park.

Warren League Field, located on Bridge Street, has Babe Ruth League and high school baseball fields.

Fraser Field is a softball field located next to the Presumpscot River behind the Warren Memorial library and outdoor pool.

The Thomas property, on East Bridge Street, offers general use open space as well as a baseball field and an ice skating rink.

Walker Field, on Walker Street, offers general use open space, a

playground and a softball field.

Local fairs and festivals

Buxton

The 2007 Buxton Community Day will be held at Weymouth Park at the intersection of routes 202 and 112 on Saturday, July 21, and will feature booths for local businesses, food, live entertainment, games, activities and fireworks.

Gorham

The 2007 Saint Anne’s-Gorham Day Family Festival will be held July 27, 28 and 29 on the lawn of the Gorham Public Safety Building, 270 Main Street. The festival features live entertainment, food, barbecue, games, activities and fireworks.

Westbrook

The 2007 Westbrook Together Days will be held on June 1 and 2 at Riverbank Park and will feature a parade, booths for local businesses, food, live entertainment and fireworks.

The 2007 Riverwalk Arts Festival will be held in Riverbank Park in the late summer (no date set yet) and will showcase artists from local communities and beyond. Art will be available for purchase at the artists’ booths.
