The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office along with Casco firefighters responded to Route 11 in Casco Thursday for a single-vehicle rollover crash that closed the road for two hours.

According to Capt. Don Goulet, a 2001 Audi AS4 sustained significant damage from going off the road at about 9:50 p.m., breaking a CMP pole, and then rolling multiple times before coming to rest in the middle of the road on its roof. The driver, Cash Garcia, 20, of Vermont, was transported to Bridgton Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The female passenger, Brittany Boudreau, 21, of North Carolina, was ejected into a snow bank. She was also transported to Bridgton Hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Goulet said the accident, which took place just east of the Hancock Lumber facility, is being reconstructed by the Sheriff’s office and remains under investigation, although speed appears to be a factor. There are no criminal charges at this time.
