After 40 years in the Portland market, Portland Percussion owner Mike Sangillo has moved his business to Gray.

A flood at their former location on Forest Avenue, Portland, forced their immediate move to a temporary location at 4700 Riverside St. in Portland, which Sangillo said was not suitable for his retail business. He recently moved the business again to 168 Yarmouth Road (Route 115) in Gray, the previous site of The Hearth Doctor.

The new location boasts 9,000 square feet of retail space where Sangillo offers sales and service on guitars, drums, amps, hardware and a full selection of accessories.

He custom-builds and repairs guitars and drums and has built Phish drummer Jon Fishman’s custom drum kit. He also provides lessons on guitar and drums.
