The Higgins Beach Arts and Craft Show will be held Friday, Aug. 11, and Saturday, Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Higgins Beach Clubhouse on Greenwood Avenue.

This show has grown for th past six years under the direction of Faye Blaise. Not only a showcase for residents of Higgins Beach to display their crafts and paintings, the program has been expanded to include local Maine artisans and crafters who have had professional show experience. Blaise started in silks and dried flower art and has expanded her talents in different directions.

This year’s list of more than 25 participants will sell wares including baskets, photographs, watercolors, pastels, pottery, jewelry, candles, baked goods, knitwear, beach art, wreaths, mirrors and sewing items. Homemade refreshments will be available. Admission and parking is free.

Cape Elizabeth resident Joan Watson’s hand-crafted and painted bowls will be among the wares available at Higgins Beach Craft & Art Show this weekend.
