Westbrook educator Debbie Peck has been selected by the Maine Department of Education as a Distinguished Educator for the 2007-2008 school year. Peck is the Westbrook school district’s director of special services, and has been an educator for 32 years – 25 of them in Westbrook. She will be working from the education department’s Augusta office next year, assessing special education around the state from southern Maine to Fort Kent. Peck will be returning to her role in Westbrook for the 2008-2009 school year.
