Known in the historical archives as the Joseph Legrow house, this Gray Road (Route 202) structure was built before 1800. Legrow, born in 1769 married Hannah Fields of Falmouth and had 11 children. He had a brickyard at Baker’s Corner (corner of Falmouth Rd. and Route 202). Brick buildings in the neighborhood were made from bricks Legrow produced. The house stayed in the same family for the next three generations. Succeeding owners included Morrell, McLellan, Hill, Hall and perhaps others. Courtesy of Windham Historical Society.
