More than 40 dancers, including several from Raymond, Standish and Windham, will take the stage in Maine State Ballet’s presentation of “Can-Can Parisien” in October.

The show will be presented at the dance company’s recently renovated theater in Falmouth. “Can-Can Parisien” is a spirited, high-kicking comic ballet, suitable for all ages.

Dancers Adrienne Pelletier and Rhiannon Pelletier are from Raymond; Boomer Druchniak and Veronica Druchniak are from Standish; Juliette Lauzier, Glenn Davis and Emma Davis are from Windham.

Maine State Ballet, which includes a dance school and a professional dance company, is one of New England’s leading performing arts institutions, and is best known for its annual production of “The Nutcracker” at Portland’s Merrill Auditorium.

Performances of “Can-Can Parisien” will be at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6; 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12; and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13. The Maine State Ballet Theater is located at 348 U.S. Route 1 in Falmouth.
