BRUNSWICK — Police arrested a Gleed Drive man April 5 and charged him with possession of child pornography.

The electronic pornography was allegedly discovered after the Police Department and the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the home of Stephen Merrill, 56. 

Merrill’s bail was set at $5,000 cash. Because he could not raise it, police said, he was transported to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland, where he awaits a court appearance at Cumberland County Unified Criminal Docket.
