Summonses

10/21 A 15-year-old male, of Cape Elizabeth, was issued a summons at an undisclosed location by Officer Ben Davis on a charge of illegal possession of alcohol by consumption.

Fire calls

10/23 at 9:40 p.m. Carbon monoxide alarm on Resolution Place.

Fowl play

10/20 at 4 p.m. A woman found four dead birds, two seagulls and two pigeons, in close proximity of each other on Bowery Beach Road. Police said the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will investigate if more birds are found.

Crime and redemption

10/23 at 11 a.m. The Public Works Department reported the door of the bottle shed at the transfer station was kicked in during the night. It’s unclear if any bottles were stolen.

Signs of the times

10/23 at 4 p.m. A resident on Sawyer Road reported four political signs had been pulled from the ground and left on the side of the road. The signs encouraged voters to oppose state referendum question 3, which would mandate specific background checks for the sale and transfer of guns. The tampering is under investigation.
