The Portland U-14 all-star baseball team, featuring players from Falmouth, Portland and South Portland, recently captured both the district and state championships. Portland beat Central Maine, 3-2, in the state game, on Nate Rogers’ RBI single. Portland advanced to the regional tournament in Harrison.
