SCARBOROUGH — Voters approved a $47.5 million school budget on Tuesday. 

Residents approved the budget 1,972 to 1,544, according to unofficial results from Town Clerk Tody Justice.

In a second question, residents also voted 2,334 to 1,134 to continue the school budget validation referendum process for another three years.
