Police officers participate in the Special Olympics Torch Run June 8 on Route 1 in Falmouth. Portland officers brought the torch to the Martin’s Point Bridge, where it was handed off to Falmouth officers. The runners, with a police escort, ran the torch to the Cumberland town line, where it was again handed off, on its way to the Special Olympics Maine Games in Orono.
