1. Claire Baecher

Daughter of Laura and Peter Baecher of Brunswick.

Honors/Awards: Valedictorian, National and French Honor Societies, Mu Alpha Theta, a National Merit Finalist, Rochester Institute of Technology Computing Medal, St. Joseph’s Book Award, Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Scholarship

Activities: Varsity basketball (captain), math team, volunteer with Cathance River Education Alliance and Crystal Spring Farm, ultimate frisbee, squash.

Future Plans: Williams College (biology).

2. Margaret Hayden

Daughter of Martin and Anne Hayden of Brunswick.

Honors/Awards: National, Spanish and Latin Honors Societies

Activities: Volunteer with Safe Passage, Parkview Hospital, Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program, English as a second language teacher, Brunswick Squash Club (founder), lacrosse, basketball, soccer.

Future Plans: Stanford University (community health).

3. Ryan Keating

Son of Drs. Thomas Keating and Lynn Ouellette of Brunswick.

Honors/Awards: Bausch and Lomb Science Award, Williams Book Award, French Award, National, French and Latin Honors Societies.

Activities: Key Club, math team, football, lacrosse (varsity captain), volunteer with Relay for Life, lacrosse clinics.

Future Plans: Johns Hopkins University (engineering).

4. Parker Merrill

Son of Deborah and Clinton Merrill of Brunswick.

Honors/Awards: National Merit Honorable Mention, National Honor Society, underclassman Science Department Award.

Activities: cross country, indoor and outdoor track teams, Key Club, volunteer with Humane Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Future Plans: University of Virginia (biomedical engineering).

5. Lauren De Camilla

Daughter of Doug and Laurie De Camilla of Brunswick.

Honors/Awards: Middlebury College Book Award, National and Spanish Honor Societies, Davis Award, Pejepscot Historical Society Book Award, Pi-Cone Math League Award.

Activities: Math team, volunteer with church youth group, sixth grade teacher’s aide, classical guitar.

Future Plans: Colby College (history, international relations and Spanish).

6. Emily Hartzell

Daughter of Richard and Lynda Hartzell of Brunswick.

Honors/Awards: District Three and All-State Honors Band, National, Spanish and Math Honors Societies.

Activities: band, Portland Youth Symphony Wind Ensemble, varsity softball, indoor track, cross country, math team.

Future Plans: Worcester Polytechnic Institute (chemical engineering).

7. Valerie L. Smith

Daughter of Lynne and Roger Smith of Brunswick.

Honors/Awards: National and Spanish Honor Societies.

Activities: Volunteer with Coastal Humane Society and Big Brothers/Big Sisters, designs and sews clothing.

Future Plans: University of Southern Maine (honors program, chemistry).

8. Matthew Liscovitz

Son of Stephen and Carol Liscovitz of Brunswick.

Honors/Awards: National, Latin and Spanish Honor Societies, KVAC First Team and Maine Underclass All-Star Team (baseball).

Activities: baseball, indoor track, The Squash Club, Contemplators Anonymous, coaches baseball for Brunswick Parks and Recreation program.

Future Plans: Haverford College (classics, ancient history, play baseball).

9. Sean McGuire

Son of Eileen Poulin and Richard McGuire of Brunswick.

Honors/Awards: National Merit Semi-finalist, National and French Honor Societies, Theater Project Young Company Board President, Gold Key Scholastic Art Award.

Activities: cross country, track team (captain), Model United Nations, stage performer with The Theatre Project, art, cross country skiing.

Future Plans: Northwestern University (drama, modern languages).

10. Monika Szamalek

Daughter of Andrew and Hanna Szamalek of Brunswick.

Honors/Awards: National and Spanish Honors Societies.

Activities: yearbook (section editor), Contemplators Anonymous (founding member).
