SCARBOROUGH — Several organizations and the town are asking for volunteers to help during the annual fall clean-up of the marsh and beaches.

The effort will take place at various sites on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon. After the clean-up, workers are invited to a free guided nature walk with the Eastern Trail Alliance and Maine Audubon. Volunteers may also stop by the nature center on Route 9 at any time during the morning for prizes, snacks and coffee.

Meeting sites and more information are online at  scarboroughmaine.com/marsh/cleanup_fall.shtml.
