On Feb. 16, members of the Freeport High School Fishing Club conducted a fly-tying workshop with a fifth grade class at Pownal Elementary School.

Participants learned to tie a Griffith’s Gnat and, come spring, will test their creations in local ponds and streams. This is the ninth year members of the fishing club have worked with Pownal’s fifth grade class.
