Players from Portland and Cumberland helped the U-12 Maine Coast United Portland Phoenix Elite girls’ soccer team win the SoccerMaine State Cup Soccer championship June 6 in Augusta. The team will next compete in the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 1 championship tournament in Lancaster, Penn., June 28-July 3.
MCU Phoenix defeated U-12 Black Bear United FC Black of Bangor, 2-1.
