NEW FACES

Tom Sarna joined Dr. Newton’s Naturals as the media buyer for its internal media agency. Sarna, of Yarmouth, worked previously for TidesSmart Global.

PROMOTIONS

Elaine Tito was promoted to senior staff accountant at Saco & Biddeford Savings. Tito, of Saco, joined the bank 15 years ago as a part-time receptionist. She was promoted up the ranks to teller, accounting clerk, and then a staff accountant.

Michael Shaw was promoted to Systems Specialist at BerryDunn. Shaw has been with BerryDunn for four years. His experience includes a background in audio visual technology, web design, Internet service provider support and photography.

Andrea Duquette was promoted to manager of BerryDunn’s Health Care/Not-For-Profit Group. Duquette has worked for BerryDunn since 2005.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Maine Media Women elected the following officers and board members to serve a two-year terms with the organization.

Genie Dailey of Jefferson was elected president. Janice Lindsay of Damariscotta was elected vice president. Patricia Ondek of Rockland was elected secretary; and Carol Jaeger of Round Pond was elected treasurer and immediate past president.

The at-large members are Louise King of Friendship; and Sherry Hanson and Cynthia Carney, both of Brunswick.

Michael Crooke, town manager in Glenburn, was elected to a three year-term on the Maine Municipal Association’s Executive Committee.

Lewiston City Councilor John Butler Jr. and Calais City Councilor Marianne Moore were re-elected to the executive committee. Both will serve three-year terms.

RMA Maine Chapter has announced its officers and board of directors for the upcoming year.

Richard Flagg, of Norway Savings Bank, was elected president; Jennifer Sirois, of TD Bank, is president-elect; Scott Boyer, of TD Bank, is vice president; and Laura Huddy, of Bangor Savings Bank, is treasurer.

Two staff members at Oxford Networks received IBM PureFlex certification in both the sales and technical designations. Joe Hodge, vice president data center and IT solutions, and Dave Johnson, senior data center engineer, received the certification.

Duratherm Window Corp. of Vassalboro was chosen to receive the Maine Wood Products Association’s 2012 Pine Tree Award. The award is presented each year to a Maine-based wood products manufacturing company that has taken innovative steps in the past two years to strengthen their business. The award will be officially presented at the Pine Tree Award banquet in October.

Joella Rossignol, a personal insurance specialist at Allen Insurance and Financial, was honored with the Award of Excellence. Rossignol, of Monroe, was recognized for “her superior underwriting skills and long-term commitment to Safeco Insurance, member of Liberty Mutual Group,” the press release said. She joined Allen Insurance and Financial in 1999.
