The Davis Family Foundation has given Good Theater a $5,000 grant for its upcoming production of “Death by Design.” The show gets its East Coast premiere later this month. It opens Jan. 30 and runs through Feb. 24 at the St. Lawrence Arts Center on Munjoy Hill.

The money will be used to help pay for a longer rehearsal schedule, period costumes and the detailed setting. The grant will also assist with playwright Rob Urbinati’s trip to Maine for the opening as well as two talk-back sessions on Jan. 30-31.

Good Theater is a professional nonprofit stage company, and is based at the St. Lawrence Arts Center.
