My grandfather was a house painter. He liked painting for the Irish Catholic and French Canadian workers from the shoe factory. They paid him right away because they respected a fellow working person.
I look at my shoes and clothes, and they are often now made in countries such as El Salvador. If someone makes my clothes and grows my food and needs to flee terror or just wants to be part of the American Dream, I welcome them with open arms.
