As I was loading my groceries into my car at a local supermarket this winter, I was approached by a young man. He asked me if I was interested in signing the ranked-choice voting referendum petition. I replied that I was not.

I had no sooner answered his question when he asked, “Do you support Gov. LePage?” I responded “I do. I voted for him twice. And I think he has done a lot for the state of Maine.”

Upon hearing this, he abruptly walked away.

I think we should all realize what this issue is all about: strictly a political scheme to get the candidate the progressives want.
