I was disappointed to read that Republican candidate for governor Shawn Moody refused to answer any of the Maine Sunday Telegram’s questions about his positions on gun safety measures in the wake of the Parkland shooting.
Of the 14 candidates surveyed, he was the only one who didn’t think it was either worth his time or in his political interest to answer basic questions. I’m not asking Moody to abandon his declared support for the Second Amendment. I’m just asking him to tell us what he thinks about these reforms.
Don’t the people of Maine deserve to know that from a person who wants to be their next governor?
