A Bucksport man was in jail Thursday night, charged with shooting two men during a pre-arranged meeting in the parking lot of an apple orchard in Bucksport.
Cory Turcotte, 26, shot and wounded the men in the parking lot of Wight’s Apple Orchard off Route 46 around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Bucksport Police Department said in a press release issued Thursday.
The men were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for treatment of gunshot wounds. Their conditions weren’t known late Thursday.
Turcotte was arrested and taken to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth, where he was held on charges of aggravated assault. His initial court appearance is scheduled Friday in Hancock County Unified Court.
Bucksport Police Chief Sean Geagan told WCSH-TV that the shooting is being investigated as possibly drug-related.
