SKOWHEGAN — Firefighters say a fire at the wood yard of the Sappi paper mill in Skowhegan has been brought under control, the Associated Press reports.

The fire department responded to the wood yard on U.S. Route 201 for a reported structure fire, according to the Somerset County dispatch center.

The call was made around 10:37 a.m. on Thursday.

The fire department said the fire started as a grease fire and did not damage the building.
