A Limerick man was arrested early Saturday after he allegedly followed a female driver in his car and tried to force her off the road as she drove through Gorham.

Charles Freeman, 57, was charged with driving to endanger, terrorizing and violating conditions of release, the York County Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman called the sheriff’s department at 1 a.m. as she was driving to report that another driver was following and harassing her.

The woman said the car was driving erratically and at one point the driver pulled alongside her and tried to run her off the road.

The car continued to follow her into Limerick. She gave her location to deputies, who stopped Freeman on Burnham Road in Limerick, the sheriff’s office said.

Freeman is being held at the York County Jail on $5,000 bail.
