Earl T. Holdsworth
OQUOSSOC – On Nov. 2, 2025, Earl T. Holdsworth departed this earth surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 21, 1937, in Bridgeport, Conn., Earl attended Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport, Conn.; Tufts University in Boston, Mass.; and University of Pennsylvania Dental and Orthodontic Schools in Philadelphia, Pa.
Earl enjoyed a long and successful career in orthodontics where he had offices in Portland, Falmouth, Windham, and Gray, while residing in Cumberland. During the winter upon his retirement, he and Sandy lived in a beautiful home on the water in Marco Island, Florida. In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish as well as spend time with his family; first on Rangeley Lake and then on Mooselookmeguntic Lake, and during winter months in Florida. Eventually, he moved back to Oquossoc, Maine which is where he wanted to spend his final days.
Earl is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sandra Holdsworth, his daughter, Kerri Holdsworth, his son Scott Holdsworth, his daughter Stacy Coggeshall, son-in-law, Bruce Coggeshall, daughter-in-law Diana Holdsworth, granddaughters Piper Coggeshall, Camden Coggeshall, Fergina Holdsworth, and grandson Brodie Holdsworth.
Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington Maine, where memories, photos and condolences may be shared at dsfuneral.com.
