Rockland Public Library announced Oct. 28 that reference librarian Alison Brislin has been selected to participate in the 2025–2026 Library Leadership Development Program organized by Library Leaders in New England.
This yearlong program brings together library professionals from across New England to strengthen leadership, collaboration and strategic thinking skills. Participants are chosen for their leadership potential and dedication to advancing library services.
The program begins with a three-day in-person retreat from Nov. 12-14 at the Warren Conference Center & Inn in Ashland, Massachusetts, followed by virtual learning sessions throughout the year.
“We’re thrilled that Ali has been selected for this prestigious program,” Rockland library Director Amy Levine said in a prepared. “It reflects our commitment to fostering leadership and innovation within our library and community.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
